Description:

A lightweight backpacking tent. All tents are semi-freestanding, and require the use of stakes to stay upright. If you are unsure about how to set up these tents, please don't hesitate to ask for instructions before you leave the store.

All tent reservations are a request only, please contact us to ensure we have a tent available for your trip.

Rental Terms and Conditions

Reservation process

Skis and snowshoes are rented on a first-come first-serve basis. Only camping gear, ice climbing tools and pulks are reservable. Please contact us by phone or email to confirm equipment availability for your required dates prior to completing the online reservation and payment. Our online system does not allow you to check availability during checkout.

Collections and return process

One day rentals must be returned the same day within store hours (including rental only hours). For rentals of 2 or more days, equipment can be collected in the last hour of the store hours (including rental only hours) prior to the first day of the rental period, and returned in the first hour of the store hours (including rental only hours) on the day following the last day of the rental period. Rentals must be collected and returned within store hours - they cannot be left outside the store afterhours.

At the time of pick up, you will be required to show photo ID and sign a waiver. Additionally, we may require a security deposit/credit card authorization to cover potential damage or loss. For reservable items, only the person named on the booking can collect the rental equipment.

Cancellations

A full refund will be provided for rental changes when reservation cancellation is received 48 hours prior to the start of the collection period. Cancellations received with less than 48 hours notices will receive a 50% refund. No refund will be provided for cancellations after the start of the collection period. To cancel your reservation, you can contact us via phone or email.

Extensions and late returns

Subject to availability, you can extend the rental period and receive multi-day rental rates by contacting us prior to the equipment return time. Please ensure that you have received confirmation from us that the rental has been extended to avoid late return fees.

Equipment returned late will be charged at 2 x daily rental rate for each day (or part day) late beyond the rental period.

Loss or damage

Rental equipment is to be returned in the condition we provided it to you - clean, dry and in working condition. You will be responsible for the full cost (including parts and labour) to replace, repair and/or clean equipment. If repair/cleaning would cost more than replacement, or in the case equipment is not returned, you will be charged the full retail value to replace the item.

Equipment will be inspected within 48 hours of it being returned. If you would like to participate in the inspection, please let us know when you return the equipment.

Rental credit

If you purchase equipment with us in the same season as your rental, we will provide a credit equivalent to a 1-day rental of that item (up to the total value of the package price, if applicable).
